3 amazing spots to watch the sunset in Cornwall

What more could you want to do when on holiday in Cornwall then end your day by watching the sunset, seeing the sky turn from blue to orange. There are so many amazing spots to watch the sun set, I thought I’d share the top 3 we went to:

Where to watch the sunset?

St Ives’ Porthmeor Beach

Porthmeor Beach was my favourite place to watch the sun set and it had the most chilled vibe! So many people were on sat on the sand, with a drink in hand, music playing in background watching the sun set. It was amazing! You could spend the day exploring St Ives, eat dinner at one of the amazing restaurants and then make your way to beach to watch the sun set.

Bedruthan Steps

This is another great spot to watch the sunset, we couldn’t actually figure out where to park our car as we almost missed the sunset so left it by the gate even though we weren’t supposed to. I quickly ran towards the cliff edge along the path to watch the sun set! It was beautiful. After researching more after visiting, I think you can actually go all the way down to bottom of the cliff so I would love to try this next time! (whilst also finding a proper place to park)

We only saw two other guys here riding on their bikes and there was no one else around, so this is a great place to see the sunset by yourself!

Lands End

After a long walk back Porthcurno Beach and getting lost in some fields we were rewarded to beautiful sunset at Lands End. You can stay here to watch the sunset and sit on the benches just further up from the Lands End signpost or walk a little further up to Sennen Cove where you can watch from the top of the cliffs.

This is a great option to see the sunset as you can park at either Lands End or Sennen Cove. From Sennen Cove it’s about a 20 minute walk to Lands End. This is also a great option if you’ve been out exploring the nearby area during the day to then come here in the evening and get this amazing view!
